WHAT'S THE DEADLINE DATE FOR SIGNING UP?
The
deadline is November 5th 2007. Any application received
or post marked after November 5th will be considered
late and charged a $10 late fee. (Sorry, no exceptions).
HOW
DO I PAY?
Your
registration fee must accompany your application.
Please do not send cash in the mail. Make your checks
payable to M.P.B. A.
An
$18 charge will be assessed for any check returned
by your bank. All fees must be paid before your child
can particpate in the Travel or Recreational basketball
league.
WHEN
IS PRACTICE?
Players
can practice1 -2 nights per week. Practices are held
at various school gymnaisiums located within the town
and last about one (1) hour in length. Your coach
will call you to let you know when and where your
practice will be held.
WHEN
ARE THE GAMES?
Games
are played on through out the week at various gym
facilities. During the regular season each team plays
between 10 to 12 games. At the conclusion of the regular
season a single elimination tournament is held to
determine the champions in all leagues except the
Clinic.
WHAT
TEAM WILL I BE ON? CAN I BE ON THE SAME TEAM AS MY
FRIENDS?
Players are assigned to teams based upon their skill
levels. Every effort will be made to "balance
a team" so that there is the right blend of experienced
and non-experienced players on a team. Because we
try to make all teams competitive it may not be possible
to honor a player's request to be on a certain team
or play with a certain friend. Likewise, it may not
be possible to honor requests to be on the same team
that arise from car pooling needs.
WHO
OFFICIATES THE GAMES?
All
games are officiated by parents ,coaches, high school
students and paid referees. Since this is a volunteer
organization you're welcomed to particpate. We also
need scorers, timers, coaches and assistant coaches.
