Welcome to the Annual Midland Park Summer League and Tournament. This year should prove to be a very competitive and enjoyable for all players, coaches, and families, and friends.
3rd/4th Grade 10 or under as of August 1st
U10 Division 10 or under as of January 1st
U12 Division 12 or under as of January 1st
U14
Division 14 or under as of January 1st
High School Eligible to play HS this past season
Rainouts or any rescheduling of games will be handled between the (2) teams involved and must be played as soon as possible after original cancellation. Any cancelled game that is not rescheduled and played may result negatively on those teams’ final records and eligibility to make the playoffs.
The
point system for playoff eligibility is as follows:
(2) Points for a win
(1) Points for a loss or tie
(0) Points for a game not played or rescheduled for any reason.
Tie Breaker is head to head, wins, runs allowed, and coin flip.
Umpires- In an effort to avoid
discrepancies we are encouraging teams to utilize the umpire service of the
Bergen County Association of Softball Umpires (201-444-0430). This is the service that
All home teams
are responsible to provide registered / carded umpires at their games; Senior
Divisions are encouraged to supply two umpires.
Playoff games will require two

The Midland Park Summer League is a town all-star league and is not open to club teams. We encourage that all players must reside in town however we understand that some towns might have trouble completing a roster. The following are the eligibility rules that the Midland Park Summer will follow for the season.
1. All players must reside in the town they are playing for, unless approved by the Midland Park Summer League.
2. No team will be granted permission to use a player from a town that has a team participating in the Midland Park Summer League unless permission is granted from that town.
3. No player shall be denied a roster spot for an out of town player.
4. Rosters must be submitted to the league before the first game is played. All rosters will be emailed to the opposing coaches by the league. A players name can only appear on one roster. No player can be added to the roster after July 1.
5. Rosters should be more than 11 and not exceed 20 players. Copies of birth certificates may need to be presented, at some point, so coaches should have them available.
6. Roster players must play in at least 50% of the league games to be eligible for the playoffs.
7. A player may only play of one team during playoffs (player who played up to help a shorthanded team may only play in one playoffs)
Any violation of the above rules, a team they shall forfeit their entry fees, be ineligible for any playoff games, and possibly be removed from the league.
Remember, it is a competitive program, but lets not lost site of why we’re here, to improve on the player’s skills, while allowing them a venue to enjoy themselves during the summer.

All teams must be
prepared to play at any time during the playoff week
Playoffs will begin on July 25th, dates and times on schedules for playoffs will be disclosed later in the season and may be changed due to weather and/or field availability.
Any changes will be communicated to your as soon as possible. .
